Coolmine Equestrian Centre, Saggart, Co Dublin is a top class equestrian facility situated right in the foothills of the Dublin Mountains with awe inspiring views over our Capital City, Leinster and the Irish Sea.

Owned and managed by the Lynch Family, Coolmine Equestrian brings the fun, family friendly ideals to life in the Riding School, Livery Stables and Equestrian Holiday Centre. 

Coolmine Equestrian Academy is family run and managed. Coolmine Equestrian provides a venue for horse riding in Dublin and a diverse range of equestrian activities for young people and adults alike. The Coolmine Equestrian mission is to “provide horse riding amenities to the local area and tourists to a standard of excellence”. Our staff aim to deliver the best possible service to you in an effective, efficient and caring manner. 

Coolmine Equestrian Academy Dublin

Coolmine Equestrian Centre was founded in 1989 by Dr's Liam & Lynda Lynch. Liam and Lynda are practising Doctors who specialise in Sports Medicine and have designed equestrian courses with health and wellbeing in mind. Coolmine Equestrian Academy Dublin has been hosting equestrian holidays and horseback riding vacations in Irelands capital city since 1991. CEAD-Ireland provides riding holidays for single travellers, families and groups in a fun, friendly environment. Conveniently located within 30 minute drive of many of Dublin's main tourist attractions, this riding vacation destination offers adults riding lessons, horseback riding on mountain and forest trails with break-taking scenery in the Irish countryside, combined with sightseeing in Ireland. 

The facility is set on 80 acres of beautiful farmland in the Saggart area of County Dublin which overlooks Dublin City to the Irish Sea. The centre consists of 28 livery stables, three arenas, cross country course and trekking centre. The centre has standards accreditations from AIRE (the Association of Irish Riding Establishments), the BHS (British Horse Society) and the Failte Ireland Equestrian Tourism Centre.

Our Management Staff

At CEAD-Ireland we select our summer camp managers for their outstanding leadership qualities, organisational skills, summer camp experience and their enthusiasm. All our Summer Camp managers have are professional teachers and instructors with exceptional third level qualifications and training. They are dedicated and committed to ensuring all our campers have a positive summer camp experience. Each manager takes great pride in their own summer camp. Children love to see familiar faces!

Our Teaching Staff

We pride ourselves on our professionally trained staff, who are dedicated to their work at CEAD-Ireland. Our staff are Professional Equestrian Trainers, Instructors and Coaches, Professional Trail Ride Leaders, as well as undergraduates from the various equestrian training institutions throughout Ireland. We insist on an exceptionally high standard of professional instructors to work on our summer camps and holidays, which adds to the strength of our team.

New recruits are selected after an interview process. All successful candidates are Garda vetted and receive training prior to working on our camps. Our teaching staff actively encourage each campers full involvement, thereby ensuring they get maximum benefit from the summer camp. We also ensure that every camper has a camp buddy which can help at any time during there stay.

All our staff members are dependable, enthusiastic, outgoing, knowledgeable and truly caring individuals.

Coolmine Equestrian Academy Dublin (CEAD) has been hosting equestrian holidays and horseback riding vacations in Ireland's Capital City since 1991.

CEAD-Ireland provides horse riding in Ireland in a fine selection of Pony Camps , horseback trail riding on mountain and forest trails and riding holidays for individuals, school groups, equestrian clubs, families and groups in a fun, friendly environment.

Conveniently located within a 30 minute drive of many of Dublin & Kildare's main tourist attractions , this riding vacation destination benefits from breath-taking scenery in the Irish countryside, combined with historical sightseeing in Ireland . Equestrian vacations can be customised for all types and levels of rider.

Written and Electronic Communication

• Acknowledge all correspondence within 7 working days;
• Issue a comprehensive reply within 4 weeks of our receiving your letter. If we cannot reply within this timeframe, we will write to explain why and tell you when you can expect a full reply*;
*This undertaking does not in any way affect statutory deadlines. 
• Ensure that all correspondence includes a printed contact name, a contact number and a reference number where appropriate;
• Use simple language in all correspondence;
• Use automated email responses when employees are out of the office;


Telephone Calls

We will 
• Answer telephone calls quickly and courteously;

• Take your contact number if information if not immediately available, and write or ring with a reply within a nominated time;
• If it is necessary to transfer your call to another employee, we will tell you why and give you the name of the person we are transferring you to and the telephone number where necessary;

Note: Please deal with our frontline employees as far as possible in relation to enquiries. For non-routine matters, or if you need to speak to a specific person, please be advised that you should make an appointment in advance. We will try to arrange meetings at a time to suit you.

Complaints and Compliments

The foregoing defines the standards which you can expect to receive. If you feel you are not receiving these standards, you can make a complaint.



Please let us know if you think we have failed to provide you with a high level of service, and we shall endeavour to rectify the situation as quickly as possible. Please bring any complaints or compliments to our Managers attention.

Inevitably problems will occur from time to time. Often these problems can be resolved immediately if we are aware of them. If you are not satisfied with the way the issue is dealt with, you may consider formalising a complaint. The paragraphs below set out the steps available to you.
If you have a concern or a problem, please tell us immediately so that we can rectify it straight away and help to make your visit an enjoyable one. You can talk to the Receptionist or ask to see one of our managers.

The next step would be to make a formal comment. This can be done either verbally through the Receptionist (who will make a note of your comment) or via email. All customer comment feedback is discussed at management meetings, with email comments guaranteed a response in writing within 5 working days.
The next step would be a letter to the Centre Manager, marking your letter “Confidential – Complaint”. You will normally receive a response within 5 working days of the receipt of your letter.
It is important that every attempt is made in the relevant area to resolve the complaint where the complaint originated. If however, the complaint cannot be resolved, you may forward your complaint to the following:

Your complaint will be acknowledged within 10 working days and will be fully and impartially investigated. A full reply will issue within 21 working days. If you do not receive a response within 21 working days or you are not satisfied with the response given, please contact Dr Lynch again to resolve dispute.
